Jacquel Rassenworth on Anastasia

While continuing my royal blog posts scheme, I must do a blog post on Anastasia Romanov. (Which is why the story “Jacquel’s Russian History” was created in the first place)

Well, here’s a short timeline about her life:

And that’s where I have some serious beef with the cartoon:

  1. Anastasia was 18 and NOT 8 when she died
  2. She wasn’t attacked at a ball
  3. Her grandmother was nowhere near the palace when it was attacked
  4. Rasputin didn’t plot to destroy the Romanovs
  5. She did NOT survive, become an amnesiac, get involved with two con artists plotting to pass her off as Anastasia, and deal with an undead Rasputin trying to off her.

So now you know. You can’t ignore the real story and take what that semi-Disney film says as truth. (Plus, I’mm be dealing with that Jennifer Yabut and her friends soon enough; they should know better than to believe that fake cartoon over the real story!)

I’ll be back with more!
