Jacquel Rassenworth on Barbara Bush

Well, I usually don’t like doing things like this, but I have no choice.

Last night, I had fallen asleep (because I had spent Monday recovering from Coachella) and when I woke up, I found out on Twitter that former First Lady Barbara Bush had recently died.

This makes me sad.

As we all know, Barbara Bush was the wife of George H. W. Bush and the mother of George W. Bush, both of whom became president of the United States during the years 1989-2009. (Excluding 1993-2001, when Bill Clinton was president.) But I know she did more than that, especially as far as her literacy campaign was concerned.

I feel that I must say a prayer for the Bush family in their time of grief, and you should say a prayer too.

Jacquel Rassenworth on Adam West

Well, I’m beginning to hate 2017.

Today, Maddy sent me a Facebook post about the death of Adam West. As we all know, Adam was two things to my generation:

He was Batman when Batman used to be funny instead of the Dark Knight that we have now, and in his later years, became the mayor of Quahog, Rhode Island on a silly adult cartoon called “Family Guy”.

Yeah, death really sucks when it takes away people you love.

Jacquel Rassenworth on John Hurt

Yesterday, Maddy emailed me with the news that John Hurt had just died. This makes me sad, as I’ve seen him as War Doctor in Doctor Who and watched him die many times in various movies. (He eve died in Spaceballs, in case you forgot!)
And now that he’s gone, I’m sure that 2017 will be far worse than 2016.

Jacquel Rassenworth on Mary Tyler Moore

Well, it was too good to be true.

This morning, I found out that Mary Tyler Moore had died. It’s a sad day for everyone, especially after I wrote a blog post about her late second husband, Grant Tinker.

In case you forgot, Mary was the star of the hit TV show “The Mary Tyler Moore” show. Also, she and Grant founded the MTM production Company, in which the logo was a tiny meowing baby cat. And you already know which shows she was responsible for.

Anyway, if you’re feeling sad, just post your comments below.

Jacquel Rassenworth on Carrie Fisher

I can’t believe it. All I want is to get through the rest of 2016 without any problems and suddenly, I hear that Carrie Fisher has gone to a side of the Force where I can’t follow.
This is so unfair!

Why couldn’t 2016 have claimed Donald Trump instead of Princess Leia? What have we done to deserve the death of yet ANOTHER celebrity?

Yeah.

I hate 2016. (I’ve said it enough times already and I’ll say it again. I hate 2016!)

Jacquel Rassenworth on George Michael

Once again, I hate you, 2016!

As I’m enjoying my Christmas vacation, Shara sends me a text message saying that George Michael has died. I’m literally crying on the inside because now the family is playing music by WHAM, which George was a part of during the 1980s. Plus, dad is planning an Eli Stone marathon tomorrow.

I hate you, 2016! Why can’t you kill Donald Trump instead and end the Trump regime before it begins?

Jacquel Rassenworth on John Glenn

You know what? SCREW YOU, 2016!!!

Just as I was writing my post about john Lennon, one of my roommates told me that John Glenn has just died. I can’t believe it. This year has been full of sads resulting from the deaths of celebrities we like, and now another one is added to the list.

John Glenn is gone. I hope he finds peace in outer space, because there’s nothing but crap here on this earth.

Jacquel Rassenworth on John Lennon

Wow. I still can’t believe that it’s been 36 years since he was shot to death in New York. And to tell you the truth, I still can’t understand why someone would want to shoot him. Whtt did he do that was so morally wrong that it meant he had to die?

All he wanted was a world full of peace, but someone just HAD to mess it all up! It’s not fair!

Excuse me while I play the song Imagine.
